Today is July 14th, meaning my due date is exactly one month from today!!! Wow! We are still so unprepared, the only thing this kid has is a bath tub and a crib (that hasn't even been delivered yet)! Oh yeah, he also has a mound of clothes! So he'll be peeing on himself in his crib with no mattress and be able to take a bath to wash himself off if he decides to come right now! In reality, we are probably more prepared than we think, but do you ever feel prepared enough? Last Saturday we spent the majority of the afternoon shopping, shopping, shopping (oh yeah we had a Costco hot dog in there somewhere, Yum!). We found the stroller/car seat combo we want but have to wait for a friend to help us pick it up in their truck next weekend. We also ordered the crib and were so happy that we were able to get the one we (Amanda) REALLY wanted from Target, and the best part was it didn't cost us anything for shipping and we had to pay very little out of pocket because of all the gift cards we got! So thank you to Aunt Jenny, Rebecca, and Maria, mom and dad Hamm, Ron and Jennifer Paquette, Jenny Childs and Gwen Daines for the gift cards that contributed to baby Hamm's wonderful crib! Here's the best pic I could get from Target.com:
I am so excited, next weekend we are going to pick up the dresser which we will use as a changing table too. When the rooms starts to come together I will post more pics!

Caitlin came a month early, the day after my shower. All the gifts were in the middle of our living room floor, all of her room furniture was still in boxes, and there was no mattress for the crib. But we found out when babies are brand new, they really don't need much.
I think the dresser with the changing table on top is so great! Tim and I actualy went to a real furniture store and found a great children's dresser, then put the changing pad and cover on top. It wasn't pricier than the ones they had at the baby stores and it's much better quality. Plus, it grows with your child.
Imogen cam a month early! Umm do you still want your picture taken?? If so we should do it soon! Sorry things have been so crazy with us moving to Springville and stuff.
Infants don't need much more than you, diapers and wipes. Anything else is extra! I thought you guys were just going to put your Love Sack in the crib and call it good.
SOOOOOOO great! Love all the fun things that first baby requires! It is werid how the first time around you have to worry about all this stuff, and froof...then the second time around, you just focus on baby...after they are born. The pregnancy goes by practically unnoticed (if you aren't sick!). I love living through a first time through you...so FUN! I wish I could go shopping with you. Love what you've chosen.
How exciting for you! I really like the crib! They have such cute baby things these days! Let us know when the baby arrives! We'll be checking the blog!
The crib looks beautiful. Ours is white too and we love it. Keep taking care of yourself the way you have been and he'll come when he's ready. You could be like me and go 2 weeks over. that sucked!
I love tyour white crib - looks so peaceful!
