We Did It!!

So the amazing Hamm family pulled off the surprise of the century! We have been planning a trip to the Tri-Cities in WA for MONTHS now to surprise Bob (the big Hamm-daddy) for his birthday! We all (exluding Chris and Alice due to the "chickenpops") made the trek to celebrate Bobs 55th birthday and we had a wonderful time! Braden and I weren't able to make it Thursday like everyone else due to work but we made the trek Friday after work and made it to Robb and Heathers (the hosts) home at 3am! Whew, if it weren't for the potty breaks it might have been earlier! We had so much fun playing games, rough housing with the kids, eating yummy Hamm style pasta bar and famous ice cream cake, surprising Bob with a patio fireplace for his new deck, a round of golf Saturday morning (guys only) and an afternoon shopping for the girls! We are so grateful to Robb and Heather for opening their home to us and hope we can do it again sometime! We finally made it back to Provo late Monday night and are still trying to catch up on sleep but it was well worth the look on Bobs face to see us there! Happy Birthday (TODAY) to Bob!

The following pics have been borrowed via Robb and Heathers blog :)

As you can see the trip took alot out of me (who am I kidding, Im always sleeping these last 4 1/2 months!)

The AMAZING ice cream cake made by Heather! It tasted just as good as it looks! It is a tribute to Bobs favorite...Golf!

Opening Gifts- this was a picture of Bob taken on his birthday a long time ago, Jane took this pic and another of when he was a baby on his birthday, had them blown up and we signed them, it was really special!

Oma put together an Easter Egg hunt for the grandkids on the front lawn before leaving on Sunday,it was fun to watch their faces full of excitement and next year we'll get to do this with our own little one!

Counting eggs

The reason Bob cam down for the weekend was under the pretense of helping Robb build a fence, they got around to it for a few hours!

Reading that made me so jealous... I want to visit home so bad! How fun that you got to spend time with Brady's family. I bet it was a nice break from school and work. And I bet you guys are loving that Brady has Spring Break right now! Troy is already bored and it's the first day haha, so I wish BYU had one too! Anyway, we need to have you guys over!

Having you guys there made it really a full family surprise. If you guys hadn't made the trip it wouldn't have been the same! Thanks so much for making the long drive for so short a time!
